Wonderful end to our Science topic.

Our application for the Primary Skills Quality Mark in Science is now complete and we await news of whether we've been successful. Our final piece of work was our Landing event 'Deep in Science'.
Here are some photos from our class space station we created for the day. As usual the children(and parents!) excelled themselves with costumes. Many Thanks.

Class 3/4 were out in the forest this week.

As part of their Geography topic, the children were in the woods. They were developing their map and compass skills with Mr Gill.

Alfie particularly liked all the dead creatures he saw: ‘snails, slugs and beetles’. Lucy loved the ‘spooky tunnel’.

Tennis coaching

Class 3/4 were fortunate to receive tennis tuition from Corporal Thomas. With Wimbledon approaching they learnt how to improve their co-ordination between racquet and ball. Many thanks to Alex's mum.

Trip to Stiftberg Grundschule.

Year 3 and 4 were invited to visit our local partner school and what a terrific time we had.
As soon as the children entered the grounds they immediately looked at some exciting playground equipment. It wasn’t long before they were excitedly playing with their German friends.

This was a return visit after we had welcomed the school children to Lister last term.

The children got to work on a mini circus project. Children practised their juggling, made a model circus and learnt a circus song. At the end we all gathered together to share our experiences and sing our song again.

Many thanks to Frau Lowe for organising the visit and giving the children a wonderful experience they will remember for a long time.
