Tenner challenge: Easter
Our final business idea:
franchises. Each group was responsible for designing a fairground game.
The game had to involve some
Maths. We used probability,co-ordinates and all the 4 rules of number. Each
group had a float of 3 euros. They had to calculate their prizes and pricing
policy because if they ran out of money they would be bankrupt.
Lots of children came to
play. We practised our persuasive language in the posters.
It’s been a terrific project
teaching children about money, entrepreneurship and some of the rules(and harsh
truths) of running a business.
Our final total was 86 euros.
We deducted our start-up of 12 euros to leave a final balance of 74 euros.
Now we will decide how to use it in the summer term. Should we give it to charity or use it to improve our classroom and learning environment.
