Year 3/4 explore the Sound Exploratorium.
Children at Lister School completed a Science Exploratorium
full of over 20 wonderful sound activities. The music room and surroundings
were transformed for the day.
Each child in the class was responsible for leading an
activity and encouraging other children to explore questions such as:
What is sound?
How can sound travel?
How does sound change?
Children used musical instruments, old bottles ,echoey toilets
buzzers, balloons…even dominoes to demonstrate different features of sound.
All the classes paid a visit and some parents were able to
visit before picking up their children. Lots of positive comments were left in
our visitor’s book.
The children all agreed it was their best science experience
of the year so far.
A high spot of the afternoon was Josie presenting her Gramaphone player to the class. Go Josie! |
